The Battle of the Heart

While others fought for dominance, I was in the realm of feeling.
I felt my mother’s love, and I saw the scars she carried.
That was my battlefield—the courage to stay open when pain is present.

Masculinity is not about fists or contests; it is about staying in the depth of what you feel and not fleeing.
The truest test of a man is whether he can stand unarmored in intimacy,
to hold his heart open when closing it would be easier.

This is the battle most refuse to fight.
And because I never abandoned it, I never abandoned myself.
